To me this looks like an attempt to console hungry kid with pokemon cards.
Accept the reality - you can’t substitute basic needs with nice-to-haves. The best thing you can do for them is provide good references. Consider if it’s possible to provide flexibility (unofficially be less stringent on attendance for as long as possible) to make their job search less urgent and a bit more comfortable.
Agree. There's going to be a lot of movement in the job market. And the companies not offering full time remote are going to be left behind.

Gah, this is so hard. That age old question of how do I keep up morale when the company is giving us no reason to have good morale? I've always found it refreshing when leaders just say the thing that everyone is thinking out loud. In this case "this is a tough situation. It's likely we will lose some team members. It's likely that the shift in routine will be hard for those that make the switch. I can't guarantee anything outside of what I can control- which how you can expect I will show up for you and as a leader which is... I want you to feel like you can come to me for... "
I’d keep it real and support folks in whatever decision they make.
Thank you, all. Definitely a learning moment for me. Leader’s role is not always easy and this moment is one the difficult one. I’ll aim for being authentic, supportive, and lenient during this transition for team members. And yes, speaking up what’s on everyone’s mind sounds like good advice.
