My current manager has asked me to apply for a new position on our team. I'm planning to remove job titles from my resume and just list "departments" (as I've had multiple roles within those teams). Is this going "too rogue" or would it be less distracting than breaking up a bunch of roles over the past decade? My hope is that I can focus more on what I've done across functional areas.

I would do a functional resume format. I wouldn't typically recommend this if you're cold applying since I don't think a lot of people actually like this format, but given you're been encouraged to apply, it's probably a formality. The functional format (IMO) does a much better job at highlighting skils and experience over job titles (vs a traditional resume). Also, since you don't have bullets underneath each title on your job history, it can highlight career progression and increased responsibilities at individual organizations better as well. Starting the interview process with another company in industrials, and my current TC is ~$600k. Headhunter wants to chat about comp expectations - anyone have advice on how to approach? Is there a minimum bump people tend to shoot for before making the jump (e.g. 25%)? Trying to keep it clean and focus on annual TC, but plan to also communicate I expect to be made whole on my unvested RSUs . TIA!
