I had a 3.5% match at my last company. My current company is 7.5%. My husband doesn’t have a match at all and he works in tech. It can vary greatly company to company.
I wouldn't even entertain a job at 3% match, but I'm at a company that does a long step-vesting (6yr) for 14% match
Yep, no longer are Wells. Moved from banking to wealth mgmt
Yes. It’s slightly below average for “A- tier”organizations. Do they are have a long vesting period?
You should put this is context though. 2-3% higher is not a lot.
How are their PTO, how much do you pay for medical.
Is base/bonus in line with industry.
Do they offer any other types of contribution, such as profit sharing after so many years? I work at a firm now that has similarly small matches but also makes ongoing contributions that are a % of comp and a profit sharing contribution after 3 years. My previous firm made extremely generous year-end contributions but matches were smaller. Hope this helps!

My old company which was a mid sized firm did a 5% match
