Hi all, does anyone know of any recruiters or hiring managers that work in Affirm Inc. I've been applying for a couple of jobs with them . The role I have applied for I know lam a extraordinary fit for
100% and can help the company/ department succeed. I have a good deal of experience with this role and would love to talk to a recruiter or a hiring manager more about this. If anyone
could reach out to me if you have any information on that I would greatly appreciate it.
Can anyone here give a referral?

I take home somewhere in that range as well, and it’s honestly very hard in such a hcol area. My raise was pitiful after a year of taking on much more than my job description, but lesson learned.
Really hard hearing about the business units bonuses and raises while I’m struggling to pay my bills and save a couple hundred a month. Happy for them, just difficult to see.
I can’t help but roll my eyes when I hear the ZS “Do the right thing. Treat people right” doublespeak. All I’ve heard is how amazing the company is doing and how we’re a billion dollar company now. Do the right thing and make sure ALL your employees are thriving. I guess it doesn’t have the same pat-ourselves-on-the-back feel as letting the whole company know you’ve personally donated multiple years of my salary in one year to some other organization/charity for brownie points.
Anyways I think it’s time to job search, can’t afford to live off ZS admin pay, and I’ve been shown enough times that my work is so undervalued it’s invisible. Also sick of HR and office leads infantilizing the admin staff. Thinking of going back to school soon for some kind of masters program. But everything is $$$$
Sorry for the rant, I guess to answer your question I manage my money by paying bills, and saving what I can. No debt, worked hard on that years ago and paid off student loans. No inheritances coming my way, family is broke and doesn’t own property. Not really enough to invest right now, but I’d love to learn how for when I’ve saved up $10k.
I hear you & I feel you! I’ve been in my current role for 15 years but another admin has been there for over 30. In 15 years our level of knowledge & experience has been shoulder to shoulder for many years yet I learned she’s been making somewhere between 10-15k more than me consistently. She refuses to talk salary however she once slipped & revealed the dollar amount going to her 401k & then said “10% of my salary “
I asked for 10% comp increase this year. We’ll see how it plays out.
Keep your heads up admins! We are what keeps the firms running!
Check out YNAB - You Need A Budget. Highly recommend zero-based budgeting… give every dollar a “job.”
I agree! I belong to a number of finance and FIRE groups where this is highly recommended. I’ve been using it for a little over an year and highly recommend. I can’t ever see myself not using it at this point. 10/10
I work at the same company in a similar position and live paycheck to paycheck :( My partner works and we have two young children. We don’t have much debt at all. We have $0 each month to put to savings. It’s really tough. I think if you’re putting away $500/m and have an inheritance and $0 debt, you’re doing quite well.
I’d recommend having a high yield savings account (maybe ally?) and start putting your savings there. Maybe even start investing if you haven’t yet.
Best of luck!
I’ve been paycheck to paycheck for 15 years as a single mom. I’ve managed to contribute to my 401k but paused contributing while the market is so volatile. I was putting 13% in for a measly 3% match & my balance was still going down.
Admin are highly underrated in this field. At least in my experience.
Note I’m 60+ years old now. I don’t feel it or most times act it either but comp for these remaining working years is critical for me now more than ever. I let it be known that I need to get to 65k or as much as I love my job & my people, that’s got to be my main focus now.
