A walk in nature is spot on as a way to immerse yourself in ‘freedom’ - think about it psychologically: imagine you are on a beautiful beach, or even in a large open green park… you walk around, no restrictions - only beautiful calming greens and blues with a back drop of waves lapping or birds tweeting. Or, if you don’t have the energy for a walk you can even lay down a towel or picnic blanket and stare up at the sky.
The serenity and openness of these scenarios is the rebalancing needed and antidote to the severe overload that often gets us to burnout.
This is nature incubating you back to health, by creating the psychological safety we all crave when everything gets too much ♥️
Yes, in general focusing on being present and gracious is a practice to help combat burnout and reach mental clarity. Being around nature is a great way to do that.
