You can let him know that you think the feedback would resonate more if he delivered it himself. You’re entitled to take his feedback and action it however you think is best. If you feel like the work doesn’t actually need to be micro managed in order to be done properly, then don’t.
Take his job

If the damage is already done, it’s going to take some time to undo it. Just because he’s your senior doesn’t mean he has the authority to treat you like his puppet, especially at the expense of your reputation. I agree with the comment above completely. Have some discernment regarding these orders of his moving forward.
Set a circumstance for which feedback needs to be given on the spot by him. ;)
