Why is Publicis the only hold co not really laying people off? OPG, WPP, Omnicom, Dentsu and MDC have been a bloodbath. What is Pub doing right (or wrong)?
If you leave a job, can you really not join another agency within that holding company for the next 12 months? E.g. if I’m at ogilvy and leave. Can I really not join any WPP agency for the next 12 mon…
Here’s how much cash these holding companies had on hand at the end of 2019: OMC $4.3 billion WPP $3.8 billion IPG $1.1 billion What should they do with it during this pandemic?
Work at a hold co and tired of hearing the ceo’s are in it with us and taking cuts? I call BS on that! They are only reducing salary and will still earn millions. Omnicom John Wren - $19,818,780 in 20…
The end of Ogilvy has come. The name may live on awhile longer, but the company is gone. It took roughly 30 years from acquisition by wpp to demise. But the rot didn’t really set in until the 2010s.
What do we think is going to happen to the WPP campus they’re building now that it’s been determined that almost all agency roles can be done from home?
What are the pros/cons of moving from WPP to IPG? I can’t give specifics about which agencies but I’m curious in a general sense about benefits, compensation, career growth, culture, etc.
From Mark Read’s email update on Covid: “the WPP Board and the 19 members of our Executive Committee will each voluntarily take a 20% cut in their salary, initially for the next 3 months” (cont)
I know there’s a lot of variability in this question but... on average what big four holding company pays the best in ranking order? I’ve heard the following: 1. Publicis 2. OmniCom 3. WPP 4. IPG
Any other agencies out there with a hiring freeze right now? (Or is WPP just using the covid-19 panic as an excuse?)
Is it so crippling for WPP to simply say WFH? Wtf is “managed remote working.” We are not idiots Mark, people know how to work from home. Ffs.
WPP stock is crap. It has a P/E right now under 5. Why isn't anything being done about this? Everyone on top needs replaced immediately.
OMC, PUB, WPP, HAVAS SVP&EVPs: those of you who got March bonuses : would you be willing to return them to fund salary for employees laid off bc if virus?
How do I tell my manager that I cannot attend a meeting today so that I can attend a safe room discussion that WPP is hosting in response to current events? I also want to suggest they attend as well…
Got fired from agency. Had to relocate out of pocket. WPP accidentally pays me 15 days later. Loving the glitch. Out of integrity I reported it. Their response was everything but thankful. (Cont.)
How is your agency handling client-related travel, as it relates to coronavirus? We got some email from WPP, but it doesn’t seem like enough. What steps are y’all taking? Any insights to share?
Just heard the news about Omnicom’s impending layoffs. How likely do you think this kind of news will come from WPP as well? I heard that finances were solid but you never know!
