In the past week I used AI for its best purpose, I took photos of my young niece and nephew and we put them into crazy scenes. They were in outer space, they were amongst dinosaurs, they became Christmas ornaments, and on and on. We had a blast and I apologize in advance to anyone whose electric bill may have skyrocketed because we made data centers work extra hard.

There's a debate about this going on in the Google bowl, which I find interesting. Most people are saying they don't have a problem with this, but I think it's deeply unfair.

The argument that resonates with me is that if you move to a LCOL city the value of your output isn't all of sudden worth 25% less.

Curious what others in the industry think.

Just watched the new Matrix. Reassures me that the Metaverse is a disaster waiting to happen. A simulation weaponizing the things that are important to us (status, freedom to be "yourself," etc.) and using it to entrap us in their world. Call me old-fashioned but watch it and see for yourself
