I am a senior consultant (Tech Consulting) in a Big4 (India) who is promised a promotion in October. I have an offer from Accenture Ireland at CL9 level. Is it worth making the move? I have started disliking the culture in my team and thus looking for a change. It would be great if someone could help me out with this. Accenture

State income taxes will significantly decrease your take home pay. Going from no state income tax in TX to up to 12.3% is no joke.
I used to live in TX and now WA. I won’t move to CA because of the taxes and high cost of living there.
The only thing I can think of is the cost of living. If you can deal with that, you’ll be fine.
Cost of living will kill you. As someone who used to live in Southern CA and now lives in the midwest, I say CA is a good place to be from! Traffic, smog, taxes, water conservation, housing density, very dirty streets, and more. No thank you. Stay in Austin. It's definitely much cooler!
