We offer in-office lunch as a company perk for our employees during in-office days (3 days a week, 3 out of 4 weeks a month). We have almost 100 people in the office at any given time, so it's no small investment. Are others offering lunch to encourage in-office collaboration, and, if so, how are you managing dietary (religious or medical) restrictions?

Hi! I’m an hr coordinator on a contract. They want to extend my contract, but I was hoping for a perm role, which was supposed to happen. But business changed and that’s not going to happen now. I really need a perm role for benefits, job security, etc. Would you stay with the hopes of a perm role within the next year? I really like this company, just not sure I should hold out, especially since I’ve been going above and beyond my job description. What would you do?

We are purchasing a new house and are unhappy with the quality of the closets the builder is offering (very basic). Question for fellow fish- have any of you used a specialist for custom closets or is it possible to hire a good handyman and pick up a design from Pinterest or something similar? After clerking, my BF recently accepted an offer from and joined a V50 firm (been there a few weeks). Shortly before his start date, he heard back from a V5 firm (one he’s wanted to join for a while) and just got an even better offer. Practice groups at each firm are also different.

The office he joined for the V50 firm is in City A. The office for the V5 firm is in City B (where V50 firm also has an office).

How should he break the news to the V50 firm to minimize reputational risk, etc.?

My Background: I'm a Fulltstack web developer. I started out working in private service based companies for say 2 years. Later, I got opportunity via CGA (Compassionate Ground Appointment) in Railways as J.E. -I.T.. I got this job almost in another 2 years. It took some delay because of documents, in the meantime I started doing freelancing in I.T. and was earning 70k-80k per month. Railway gives me around 50k per month. In railways, I've a title of J.E. - I.T. (more in comments)

Can't even imagine what it would take to be let go from USDC. I'm putting in like 3 hours of work per week and I'm still getting nothing but positive feedback from lead. Pay definitely blows but can't really beat this WLB.
