"I would definitely request a meeting with the supervisor as well as the DON so all parties are present and you’re able to speak your truth. Bring your facts and stand firm in what you know. If the DON continues to push something that you know is untrue, then that speaks for itself and shows you who she is. At the end of the day, everything will work out the way it’s supposed to. Don’t silence your voice — easier said than done, I know — but what’s meant for you will always be for you. Sending positive energy your way.”

Do you have records of the message? What is the call out policy? I would address it directly and just say there must have been a miscommunication and it won’t happen again.
Communicate the miscommunication and put everything in writing from now on.
