For 2 kids at that age, consider getting a nanny. You can find a good one for around 40-50k. Totally worth it. She will do some of the cooking and cleaning, general house management stuff. And you won’t have to scramble every morning to get them out the door or every night to get them bathed, fed, etc. You avoid the daycare center germs, politics, and other nonsense. And depending on where you go, it’s probably cheaper than sending 2 to daycare.
Am I to understand that if I look after two kids I can get paid more than what I currently earn?! 🤑🤑
Figures I’ve seen are in the $2500-$3000/mo range for one child at some of the nicer/higher end type places. Have never looked at 2, may not be exactly 2 times that but gives you a starting place.
The Chicago area is large and it will vary substantially depending on where you live.
Looking at north Lincoln park and Lakeview
Home Daycare costs $1500 a month per child.
FYI, I’m in north Lakeview.
Great thanks for the info all, sounds like it’ll be 1500 to 2500 per kid
My friend paid $2k per month for one kid.
