Living in NJ and may be able to choose NYC as my home office. People who live in NJ can choose NJ / NYC office, which one did you choose?

NJ office: no NYC tax, don't have to file 2 state return. Live in NJ so auto assigned to NJ office currently.

NYC office: NYC tax on paycheck, easier commute, possibly higher pay?

Pretty sure the saga of the slave driven company has come to an end I’m the only HR person at this company. Friday I had full admin rights, and went to check email Saturday; account locked. Payroll/HRIS locked out. PEO service says no pending termination is on my file. Went to the office today to get my things just in case. Located in CA. Was about to report numerous violations too. All because I couldn’t solve 8 months of payroll issues in a day. 🫠 Good riddance, I’m getting a lawyer.

Anyone have insights in Gannett? I’m being interviewed for a Product Analyst role and would love to know what to expect.

Trying to learn the right path to becoming a data analyst then manager. Always been in management trying to cross over in the Data world.

Received an offer for $96k as a data analyst. Current YOE is 1 year, current salary is $55k. Is this crazy jump something to be worried about? Company I received offer from is Fortune 200 company.

Analytics are so broad... what are you analyzing? I critique and improve business processes, interdepartmental communication, etc.

If you do data analytics for clients in an advertising agency, is it a requirement to besides do your day to day “data analytics” work, also upswell the client with new types of projects / analysis?

Basically to help the agency to increase their revenue by increasing client scope?

I’m interested in transitioning from Business Intelligence to Data Engineering. Wondering if I can get input from someone who’s done both on the day to day, skill differences, pay, pros and cons. Thanks!
