I have some things. Exec 1 will get to emails eventually but you need an answer, teams message. Exec 2 hates teams and won't look so don't bother, decent with emails but need an asap, text. Exec 3, loves to call, but be careful when you call back because they will respect you every time by actually answering, even if they are busy and in a meeting.
I could go on. And that's just the short notes on communication preferences (we are mostly remote so little to no love interaction).
The rest is general on travel preferences and some recurring things I do that aren't typical.
I don't give them everything to work with, because honestly when somebody starts working with your executive, them getting to know them and building a relationship will involve getting to know all those little details and I don't want to take that away from them. If that makes sense. The only one I have super detailed notes on is my very anxious executive, and because of their high anxiety levels it's just easy to know upfront how to deal with that person.
If I have the time I write things down and make a sort of manual for the next person. But the thing is, I rarely have extra time to devote to that sort of thing. There are a lot of things people just have to figure out on their own.
