Hi all. My 6mo rvw is approaching in <2mo. I am aware I will receive a performance-based raise, but not sure how much. My student loan payments kick back in shortly after and I could use some advice on how to ensure that raise accommodates as much of my new debt as possible. I have over 6 years of various office and FOH experience, but no degree. I often receive praise from coworkers and intend on revising my SOP to record every one of my tasks in my current position to cover my basis. Thoughts?

Hey! I’m new here and would like some input. I’ve been working in a new position for almost 5 months. In that time I’ve witnessed some unethical and lots of unprofessional behavior. I’ve been yelled at and berated by my coworker 3 separate times because of minor errors. I’m ready to quit. There are so many major issues in this company that I don’t know if I want to subject my mental health to this degree of toxicity. I just don’t know how to move forward from here.

Could a position as an Office Coordinator be the same as Administrative assistant or could be considered as a higher role?

I’ve been an Admin Assistant for 5 years with the last 2 in a government. I have worked hard to get here thinking this is what I wanted. Now that I’m here, making 40k CAD/yr. Yesterday my boss scheduled a meeting with me for something he needed help with. He was 15min late & took a phone call from his boss during…10min. This has become a habit. At one point I even stoped scheduling our 1:1’s because he misses them so often but he realized a couple months later & told me to start scheduling them again. I told him they aren’t necessary but he insisted. What do I do? It makes me feel less important/unappreciated. I rather not even schedule to meet. Advice?
