I bombed a question in my interview! Feeling horrid
Hi Fishes,
Does Deloitte USI have any cool down period, if you apply and do not get any response from the company? I had previously applied in a role, but didn't hear back from them. So, I'm planning to try to apply via referral this time and I'm wondering if I should use the same e-mail ID or a different one! Deloitte USI
I interviewed with Firm A months ago and accepted a position to start this upcoming fall. Group leader called me to offer the position back in November 2020. Besides interviewing with partners at the firms, and diligent follow ups notifying them of my interest to get started, no communication has transpired since. It turns out that I accepted a better offer w/ Firm B for personal reasons and won’t be going to Firm A. What is the best way to notify Firm A? Call/email group leader? Call/email HR?
How much would my tech stack and language be a factor in getting selected in faang or good product based companies?
I'm asking from getting my resume selected to getting an offer.
I read everywhere that only DSA and system design is needed, but I'm still concious about my tech stack.

Why? They can all help you confidentially. You are being a weirdo. BTW, nearly all recruiters will claim they have relationships with "all firms" so if that's your litmus test on how to reach out, nit sure how well that'll work.
I agree with Attorney 1 that OP is a weirdo. In any event, ditch the paranoia and just see how it goes. You really have nothing to lose trying out a recruiter.
A recruiter would never tell your firm, even if they had a relationship with them. It violates ethics rules.
This is the short, simple answer I was looking for. Thank you!
That would be the fastest way for a recruiter to tank his/her career...
To be real, a recruiter wants to place you at a new firm and then find your replacement for the old firm. Don't be paranoid, it is not in our interest at all to out you to your employer.
That’s a valid concern. I am a legal recruiter and I frequently work with candidates who work at law firms that are also my clients. Confidentiality is huge in recruiting. I would find someone you trust and emphasize the confidentiality request although it’s already common practice.
