Not immediately, but if one side makes more than the other, there will be adjustments to converge in the first year or two (almost always on the upside to combat attrition). The number one objective is to not upset any more apple carts than necessary in the short term, and keeping as many people as possible is at the top of the list. Cutting pay would be a massive unforced error.
The things you should worry about: new systems, different leadership structure, productivity requirements.

Honestly, I would be more concerned about layoffs. I would personally think that they are more likely to lay people off that make too much than cut pay. When a firm is acquired, they often do cut down the current staff. Hopefully they won’t.
Depends on if they are client serving or support staff..
I have never heard dof salary reductions. If you are above the new target comp for your level, you may not get raises like you are used to thoguh
You should also be comparing benefit costs and plan designs of the new firm vs current firm.
