I also found bringing a hand pump came in handy, just in case you can run to the ladies room and get a bit off
I pumped to a year with both kids. I typically pumped and dumped when traveling - but I was lucky enough to have supply to be able to without supplementing. I was also very open about pumping - if I had to go I went and let at least my boss know. When I had my kids I often was one of the lowest on the totem pole in the room too. It sucks but my kids come first!
It doesn’t matter if they give us rooms or say they are ok with it.. no one knows what we go through unless they have gone through it. My son is three and still has a private obsession with his bottle. And I know it is cause I cut him short. We loved our time together once I got him to latch and then boom 💥 back to work. He still has a bottle in bed with me at night and in the morning. Work came before my pumping and I lost my supply early due to it. That fact will always hurt.
Hand pump and nursing cover are my best travel companions. I take them everywhere (and pump everywhere!) When traveling. You can do it!
I’ve had to travel with my pump, cooler, etc. for a pitch. Not fun, not easy, and you have to carry around even more crap, but it can be done. I’ve also pumped and toss while traveling for pitches. Again, not ideal
Did you tell people you were pumping? Or just try to find a moment to sneak off? Yesterday I was the only female on the pitch team and lowest seniority so I was trying not to call attention, but ugh it stunk.
I was an AD at the time and said I will need to take a 15 minute break at X time. No one really pushed back on me. I also made time to pump before bed and when I woke up as well
These weren’t around when I needed them, but I’d definitely give them a shot now for situations like this!

Yes it’s possible! Speak up and educate those around you! Good luck.
I pitched and pumped. My advice is to be exceedingly transparent about needing to pump. People can deal.
I went with the Willow. It's completely hands free and tubes free so everything fits in your bra. I had times where I ran to the bathroom and put them in, returned to my desk and pumped while working. No one ever said anything unless it was dead silent. This thing saved so much time. Look into it if you can.
