Personally I have always been I firm believer that at least an annual increase is not an ask it is a requirement and if an increase is not available a one-on-one advising why and what would need be done in order to achieve that. That being said I believe over performers in my humble opinion should be subject to discretionary bonuses and/or merit based increases outside of an annual
It's generally advisable to wait until you've worked for a company for at least a year before asking for a raise. If you've worked there for five years or more, you may have a stronger case for requesting a larger increase.
It is best to wait until you have been working with the company for a while before asking for a raise to show that you are committed to your job and are not just looking for a quick payout. After one year would be a good time to start negotiations.
If you feel that you have been doing a good job and have taken on additional responsibilities, you may want to ask for a raise after one year
Does Hilton not do regular reviews? Within the first year is completely reasonable.
