It is suggested so that you don’t burn your bridges, but you can always leave if you don’t have any plans to come back
Ya not sure about plans to come back to Deloitte, but definitely not coming back to USDC
Lol, I m with you.
It’s never a requirement. But it’s best to not burn bridges (even if at moment you don’t know if you’d boomerang). It’s good etiquette and leaves the team time to KT and backfill.
Mind sharing your Deloitte comp and new Amazon comp?
I mean base compensation is same.
2 weeks isn't a legal requirement but most employers expect that as a bare minimum, if you would ever consider to bounce back you don't want to do anything less because that will burn bridges.
That’s true, but my 2 weeks notice is almost coming to an end. I gave it anyway. My joining date with new employer is in May anyway. And I didn’t have much to transition. I’m just enjoying atm
Where you going, OP? Got room for a +1?
Congrats!
USDC? Just tell your teammates you care about and any one under you who might be affected but just go with no notice. They have no obligation to let you work the last two weeks.
Once you given notice and and all expenses are tightly monitoring. I wouldn't expense anything once my notice is in the system
It’s a courtesy that you don’t burn bridges before you leave
What everyone said above is correct but legally there is no such thing as 2 weeks notice your employment is at will they can fire you anytime and you can fire them any time
