Has anyone used PracticeDump to study for CFE? Is it legit? I’m thinking of getting it since it’s so much cheaper than the one offered by ACFE website

I was wondering if the review course “CPE Self Study Course” for the CFF was enough preparation to study and pass the CFF exam. The CFE review course was enough and like if you get a question wrong it explains it well so that when it comes up in a different way in the real exam you can still get it. But when I saw the outline for the CFF material and there seems to be a lot of topics so I was wondering if the review course was sufficient considering this exam is also multiple choice. Thanks!

Decided that I’m leaving audit today. Trying to understand the full range of opportunities in forensics. Will have my CPA and CFE. So far, I understand that there are client-serving firms like FTI and then the B4 will have forensics arms as well. What are some other forensic accounting roles? Pros and cons? Better than audit? Honestly just looking to learn anything.

Wondering for anyone who got their CFF (Ceritified Financial Forensics) designation. Was it difficult? How long does it take to study for using the review course? Is the CPA designation worth it? For me it would take me 1 year of PREP courses and 2 years of PEP until i can write the CFE. And I am 27 years old right now. Also wondering if it would be crazy to pursue the CPA while learning how to code to be a developer as well?

like

For the CFE, did you do anything in addition to the ACFE prep course? The course is just practice questions, so I’m wondering where I can actually learn the information first before that.

Comp question - what should a B4 Senior with a CPA, CFF, CFE, and a MBA with 4 years forensic exp (D&T) and 6+ years non-forensic exp (industry) in NYC and DC markets expect in this current climate?

I just left my pre-seed startup that was running out of cash (we made $100,000 in revenue this year, and sunk $1m in costs). I was making $40,000 as a developer (plus 20k stock options at $1/share per year) and they refused to pay me any more money. I have 17,000 vested stock options, total number of shares at the time of my contract was 4million. I’m a bit confused about share dilution and if it’s worth it for me to buy some of my stock options… thanks in adv!

Anyone ever have experience negotiating a new offer to include unvested 401k match and stock grants from your current employer? I hate leaving money on the table but there are some good roles out there. I’m not fully vested in my current 401k yet and my stock grants haven’t matured yet either. This would be at a global director level.

Since it was covered by SNL yesterday, I’m looking for suggestions that can make me feel better in the absence WH press briefing. Any suggestions please
