Really getting tired of my manager. He’s a pawn for upper leadership which is fine but he’s constantly telling me us to do one thing then getting on us for doing that thing and not something else he he never told us to do. I think he’s creating a case to fire me tbh. How do I end this in a classy manner?

Hey everyone. I found out we are expecting our first child and I’m really nervous. I got into consulting one year ago and I’m up for promotion this year. With timing of our performance conversations I would have to inform I’m pregnant before outcomes - then shortly after the promotion effective date I would go on a leave for due date.
