Recently I've been applying to several companies, I work in Europe so I'm mostly trying to land a job within the continent.
Since it's my first job, I've struggled to get replies (even with experience that sums up to about one year).
Does anybody have any advice regarding the differences between remote work and physically being present ?
I'm afraid to enter a job as a remote worker because its my first experience, I feel like I would benefit more from being in direct contact with the team.

Finding something hybrid would be easier since it will be less competitive. My advice would be not to start lowballing yourself due to competition, but audit your skills. Look at it like a sales call: All you have to do is get them on the call, once you've done that, you must sell yourself to them as an asset. How will you make them money? What questions can you ask to set yourself apart? Most people can't sell themselves and that's the 2nd problem. The first is that most people don't want it bad enough to exercise every option. I told myself I'm completely responsible of getting myself a position so I couldn't shift the blame on the competition or employers. Is your cover letter unique and hitting pain points for their specific company? Have you done your research as to what exactly they need to work on this upcoming year? Instead of spreading myself thin to 100 different applications I focused on 10 and did heavy extensive research. I set up multiple accounts with my application and applied to the same job to get their attention. I watched and took notes on what Leila Hormozi does to vet a good employee because it taught me exactly what employers look for in a winning employee. I answered extremely quickly and followed up with presentations on why I would be a good fit. Companies want to know you want the position more than anything. You can do this, just try everything before settling.

BCG PIPE Practice

I work at a hedge fund now. I spent a number of years in consulting earlier in my career. I’ve made some $ but the job is lonely. Thinking of returning to consulting.

1) Is the PIPE practice only due diligence projects? Or any segmentation of the service line beyond general “DDs”?

2) I’m 2011 out of undergrad and have done a few years of consulting and a few at a HF. Would I come in as a PL? Principal? How is this decided? What is typical profile of laterals who come in here

Just saw that Airbnb's salary range for a 2+ years experience Data Scientist in US is 129k -180k USD.
In INR its 95L- 1.4cr. But in India do they pay even 30L to 4 years yoe?
Last year I saw such salary range for 4+ yoe in US. But in India its yet to increase.
In this quarter these companies have started negotiating in the name of US recession. Irony is salary range didn't decrease in the place where the recession is supposed to occur.
All these articles published in India are just to fool them
