I don't know if this will work for you but it has for me on occasion. When I'm in the middle of several tasks and have to keep interrupting them all and backspacing, I take just the most urgent one and focus on finishing that to completion and then on to the next. Multi-tasking at this level ruins your brain, I'm convinced!! I've also simply closed my laptop and gone to get a cup of tea and just breathe for 10 minutes when I've come close to saying something I knew I was going to regret. Just closing that screen helped on some psychological level!!!

Oh yes it does make such a difference to have a 5 minute break away from the screen, I have had moments where I’m like yes I do need to walk away before I do something I shouldn’t🤣
I get into that trap myself, and I honestly think it's from having messed up my brain by using my phone so much. We're just wired now to jump around from thing to thing and not concentrate on any one thing. All I can do when I get so distracted like that is just stop and tell myself I'm going to work through the tasks in order. And then just do that.

Now I’ve sat and thought about that - I do think using my phone is a big issue but that is a hard habit to get out of! Thank you for sharing as I probably wouldn’t have thought of that otherwise😊
I make a to do list to keep myself focused and refuse to let myself work on a task until my current one is done. No email, no checking my phone, nada. It's the only thing that works for me.

I’ll give that a shot thank you! Sounds so much easier if there’s no distractions I think!
Sometimes I start one task, jump to another, and by the end of the day I feel like I touched everything but finished nothing. What helps me is writing one clear priority for the day and forcing myself to finish that before I let my brain scatter to the rest.

That’s exactly what I’m feeling, I’m trying to do the same but it can be so hard when you’re used to bad habits.
