Hi Fishes
I would like to know about the client interviews (especially in data science or machine learning roles).
Are these interviews tough?
Are these interviews meant to assess technical knowledge? For example, what is binomial distribution, what are different data structures in python, ml algorithms etc.
I would request each of the nagarrians to share their thoughts irrespective of the technologies you are working.
I am thankful to you for taking time and helping me out.

Join wherever you’ve had a client interview—because at least someone has seen you and knows you exist.
If you’ve had multiple client interviews, then choose based on where you feel better vibes… or let’s be honest, where the package is better.
Because if there’s no client interview, chances are you’re a very well-documented ‘bench investment’—waiting to be allocated while the system figures out where to plug you in.
And if things stay quiet for too long, don’t worry—the organization will suddenly discover your ‘hidden talent’ for functional testing and quickly align you to something just to get you billed.
To be frank, most organizations aren’t exactly lining up to give hikes to pure functional testers. So the trend now is simple—hire for automation, and if needed, conveniently route them into functional testing anyway.
So yes, officially it’s about skills and roles…
but unofficially, it’s about interviews, billing, and how creatively your profile can be repurposed.
