Laid off and looking for my next role since July 2024. Applied to about 1500+ applications to date. I’ve lost count atp. God bless. I’ve come to the realization that there are more people unemployed than jobs available. I’m about to apply less and put my energy in what I can control. This is insane. Get in where you fit in. This is not the time to be picky with jobs….if you can get one rn then take it.
Fond employment, then pleasee help
My wife has put out 65 in 4 months. Only a couple of interviews. Nothing panned out.
I know that's right
I created extra income to keep me going. It wasn't much, but it helped a little. The first was a fingerprint specialist. There are no state requirements for ink fingerprinting. I purchased my FBI fingerprinting cards off Ebay, ink pads, wipes, and blue surgical gloves. Then I created a Yelp page, downloaded a free Google phone number, and marketed myself on fb, local hospitals, trucking companies, daycare centers, and anywhere that required background checks. Some days were slow, and some were busy. I charged $50 if you were local and up to150.00 for time and travel if you were not. I practiced on family, friends, and watched YouTube videos. Some days I made 400.00 or more. If I had a space to work from home, so I wouldn't have to travel, I would have made a lot more. You'd be surprised. I even had federal employees. Another position I created was paternity testing. I took the training online and marketed myself after I purchased supplies, or had 1 supply company send it to me for free. If you have a home office, the supplier will send everything to you and send clients your way. Search youtube for low start ups. You can easily make 150 to 300 doing drug and paternity testing, and you don't need to go to school to tell someone to pee in a cup. Companies will hire you to do onsigt testing, and all you have to do is mail it off. These companies will give you everything you need.
I created a Google voice number for you to call me on. Let's schedule time this coming weekend to chat or zoom. My first name is Dawn. It might be easier if you message me, and then I can respond to you if this isn't correct.
About 100 in 4 months, 6 onsite/zoom last round interviews and numerous first round with recruiter, another scheduled tomorrow. I’m tired as well.
I lost count. I know I'm past 200....
I haven't kept track but that is a really good question. I would say I have put in atleast 200. I put in roughly five a day on average and have been applying for six months now.
2500 and 215 interviews since late 2023…
Laid off late July, crossed the 175 mark last week. I think I'm going to stop keeping track. Instead of making me feel like I've accomplished something by continuously applying, seeing that number grow higher and higher without resulting in any offers is just making me feel worse.
Almost a year and a half for a friend and myself I am back at it again after a contract but always at 25. In two
