Silly me, this whole time I’ve been trying to fill positions with the best candidates and creating a well-rounded, diverse team. But I should have been looking for candidates who only went to the elite schools. The leadership team will only consider candidates from the top schools and told me to stop wasting their time with my “DEI” picks. How do I get it through their thick heads that the best candidates don’t always come from the “best schools?

Hello guys! I work as a Campus Tech, I deal with 1200 kids for a Charter K-8th grade and 100 staff. I love working with a school district due to the amount of time we have off during school and summer off. But I’m debating on the pay I feel as I’m under pay for the amount of work that I do, troubleshooting Chromebook’s, laptops, printers, & projects…anything that plugs into the wall I cover. Any good suburbs with decent connectivity where i can get 2b/2b apartment for upto $4500?
