Trust your gut
If it’s a pattern, then I don’t think it’s in your head. It’s always worth looking into other opportunities. The only way to find out if it will be the same everywhere else is to look. You won’t get any new information from staying in the same spot. Hope you find a better fit soon. Hang in there in the meantime!

I always tell myself, "It's unlikely to be worse" when it gets really bad! Look elsewhere. You have skills and are deserving of being treated kindly by colleagues.

What happened?
Ugh. Pattern of hot and cold behavior makes me feel like I can’t trust anyone and I don’t have a genuine connection with anyone in my small group except those that left. I just feel really stuck, hypercriticized, and like there isn’t a clear path to partnership because of all the insecurity. I desperately want to leave the group but don’t have the support of upper management yet, so I’m feeling hopeless—and the more I seek work outside the group, the more interpersonal drama and passive aggressive behavior it causes.
