Would love to hear thoughts on this one. Asking your firm to make sure the hotels at retreats stock quality 0.0 beer or other sober-curious-friendly options. Super progressive or super needy?

It’s absolutely necessary with the prevalence of alcohol abuse in our industry.

like

My firm just started serving mocktails at all events where alcohol is served. It's great to have the option.

like

I’d appreciate it!

I would 100% appreciate this.

Sidebar: what are your favorites? I just tried Wellbeing for the first time and genuinely enjoyed it.

I am loving everything made by Athletic Brewing Company (note: I also drink alcoholic beer, but I really appreciate having a non-alcoholic choice on hand, especially this month when I’m studying for the bar, and Athletic Brewing Company is comparable to some of my favorite alcoholic beers in terms of quality/taste)

like

Progressive! Firms spend so much money on food and beverages. Why shouldn’t someone flag that non-alcoholic versions would be appreciated by a not insignificant number of people? A good mocktail is always appreciated and helps folks who are avoid alcohol—for whatever reason—feel more welcome and have a good time.

like

Beer is water. Unless your retreat has hard liquor, I ain’t going.

funny

What's wrong with drinking non-alcoholic drinks if you don't want to drink? Coke, water, seltzer?

like

Now you tell us 🍸 🦀😅

funny

Super needy!

like

about time. this industry has an alcohol dependency problem. separately, it would make events a lot better for recovering alcoholics, lightweights, people who abstain for religious reasons, and whatever else. this should be standard

like

Can’t you like drop by the nearest Target/Walgreens/7/11 or something? I’m sure there are great non-alcoholic options at any given hotel.

I’m (early30s) about 8 months into a relationship with a 40m. Things are wonderful in every aspect, but he is absolutely atrocious with his finances. I felt it becoming an issue about two months ago. He forgets about auto payments and just generally doesn’t care. I sat down with him and looked at everything and even after talking it out he still continues to stress and it’s now causing me stress. I had a final discussion with him today about it and he went on abt how love isn’t enough for me…
