Starting with a new team can be a bit nerve-wracking, but this one’s been such a pleasant surprise. Everyone’s so kind, supportive, and just really uplifting, it makes the day feel lighter. My last team was great too, just not as vocal or expressive. Honestly, a solid team makes all the difference, no matter what kind of manager you’ve got.
Anyone else ever land in a team that just instantly felt like a good fit?

Yes! That feeling when you just click with a team is everything. I joined one where people actually said “good morning” and asked how I was really doing, it made such a difference after coming from a super quiet, heads-down crew. You’re so right, a supportive team can completely change your day. So happy you found that vibe!

Totally get that! It really does hit different when people actually see you as a human and not just a coworker. Just those little check-ins and good mornings can make the whole day feel lighter. I’m glad you found your people too, makes such a big difference!

Yes and I'm so happy you're experiencing it too! I started a new job 5 months ago and have loved everything about it, especially my coworkers. They're all just....nice. Not gossipy backstabbers, which describes roughly 95% of my past coworkers.

That sounds amazing! Having a team that’s genuinely nice makes such a huge difference. I’m so glad you found that vibe. Makes work feel way less like, work!

Hello,

I hope someone here can help me 🫶🏽. I graduated from Rutgers Business School with a double major in Supply Chain Management and Marketing, 2021. I am currently an Area Operations Manager at Amazon ( 7 months in the role). However, I am looking for a better opportunity.

I feel burned out working 14/15 hours a day and only getting paid for 10hrs. With no motivation to go to work, my mental health it’s not where it needs to be because there’s always so much drama in my work place.

Team just applied for a TS Clearance (defense agency). Trying to assess if it makes sense to wait till the clearance comes through (6 months to a year?) before I job hop. I'm hoping to get some clarity on the following:
1. Can my company withdraw or cancel my clearance if I leave right after I secure a TS?
2. In terms of compensation, how much value (% compensation) does a TS clearance have in the DC area? Places I'm considering: AWS, Azure, GCP, Data bricks, Appian etc.
Any advice, thanks!

Back when I was getting started in the food world, I worked flipping burgers at In-n-Out. A man came in and said the burgers he had gotten weren’t right. He dumped the food on the counter and then he started throwing them back behind the counter. We gave him a refund and then his demeanor completely changed. He was calmer and he told us to have a great day as he left us to clean up the mess he made.

He was a republican staffer on capitol hill.
