Back when I was getting started in the food world, I worked flipping burgers at In-n-Out. A man came in and said the burgers he had gotten weren’t right. He dumped the food on the counter and then he started throwing them back behind the counter. We gave him a refund and then his demeanor completely changed. He was calmer and he told us to have a great day as he left us to clean up the mess he made.

Customers certainly do have a penchant for the overly dramatic. At least he left after he got what he wanted. I've had people keep complaining even after they got their way, many times. At least we get amusing stories from it sometimes :)

Things like this make me wish that our general manager wasn't so uptight because I would absolutely LOVE to kick that guy to the curb.

TBH I'm surprised his demeanor even changed, a lot of the customers where I work are impossible to please. Even after we refund their money AND let them keep the corrected order? They. Just. Stay. Mad. U wanna switch jobs with me...? LOL

Haha you should see how mad people get when they don't like the way something is cooked. They tell me how it should be done. As if I were the one who cooked it, but also waited and bussed tables, seated customers, cashed out transactions... there's a good reason restaurants hire more than just one person for each shift!

I’m negotiating my salary, and I’m curious what a reporter/digital editorial lead makes at your company? I have 15+ years of experience in employee communications and TV news, and I live in the Seattle area. I think I’m being shortchanged bc I’m asked to do some of my previous manager’s responsibilities (he was promoted), but I’m paid as a reporter. I report to my director who reports to our SVP, and I’ve worked for this Fortune 20 company for 10 yrs. Any info would be helpful. Thank you!

I am 29F and earning 13LPA. I have been working for 4 years of which 3.5 years I had very low pay and close to 0 savings. I have been able to save 6L now.

My investments below:
* Elss funds - 2 (total 1.5L annually)
* Large cap mutual funds - 6 (total 40K sip per month) current portfolio of 4L
* FDs - 2 of 25K each
*Medical insurance - company provided

Can someone advice if this is a good investment plan for future? What can I do better? Do I need another Insurance? Where else to invest?

Once when I was waiting tables, I had a guy pay me cash. The change was 45 cents, which I didn't give back to him because like who wants that. He then asked where the change was, and when I explained that I didn't give back the loose change, he made a big stink about how dollars and cents matter and didn't leave me a tip. He was a republican staffer on capitol hill.
