I have two little girls (3.5 years old and 1 year old). I currently work full time at a mid-size insurance defense firm. Im also the breadwinner of my family. I am thinking about working M-Th so I’ll have more time to spend with my little ones while they’re still sweet and little. My husband thinks this is a bad financial and career move. I know we can make it work financially but what about career-wise? Will I look back one day and wish I had spent more time with them?

I’m thinking of quitting Accenture after being here a year due to a dearth of interesting projects and ones that fit my potential. I have a pre-health background and wanted to do more life sciences/biotech consulting but Accenture is far too big and political for specific projects like that. So I’m thinking I should leave and go someplace that actually specializes in this work. I’m here because I need suggestions about where/how to start looking!

Hi all. I received an offer from VISA Inc last week and I’m struggling to make a decision and would appreciate outside thoughts. This is the offer:

Consultant, Risk Mgmt. Base $132k…Sign on $12k…future bonus in btw 0-20% and also Equity max of 5%.

Currently, I’m on 90k with Deloitte with 4 YOE.

VISA says this is their max and can’t push further. What do y’all think? Can I push further or that’d be greedy?
