TCS is delaying most onboardings. I am wondering if they are indirectly pushing us to look for other opportunities. Should we trust the offer, or should we explore other options? If we reject the offer now after accepting it, will it cause any problems? I would appreciate suggestions from TCS HRs. Thanks in advance.

I had a call w/ a recruiter and after hearing about the job, I *really* want it. But I’m worried I priced myself out of the role. I sent my resume/portfolio after and haven’t even gotten a reply that she received it, and I’ve followed up. I’ve been getting recruiter messages offering salaries up to 120k for copy/senior copy roles (which surprised me) so I gave 110-120 as a range on the call. She hesitantly said she thought 115 would be OK. But wondering if the salary could be the issue? Thought?

If I max out my traditional 401k and have a mortgage interest deduction to against my w-2 taxes does it mean I can pay way less taxes than a average person who makes same amount salary as me?

Not sure if this is the right bowl but hoping to get some insight. I have a lot of student debt, and am considering refinancing with First Republic bank to get a (marginally) lower interest rate. However, their version of refinancing student loans has changed in the last couple years so now they offer you a personal line of credit. Is it a bad idea to refinance with a line of credit vs a regular student loan refinancing?
