By doing laundry and not wanting anymore of it lol… on a more serious note, I just make sure to take inventory of what I have so if I buy something I at least know it’s not something I already own/nearly own
Doing laundry helps me not buy stuff because I remember how much I have to play with already! Do laundry, save money lol

Build yourself a budget and stick to it. Indulge in shopping up until you hit your budget. This will allow you to enjoy shopping but also be more cognizant of your purchasing and be more selective. Financial irresponsibility isnt cute or an oopsies moment.. don't fall into pressure to spend if you can't afford things in this moment.
Avoid overconsumption and check your emotions before buying. Am I shopping because i'm bored? Sad? Am I buying this for myself or because I want others to think of me a certain way? Peel back into the "why do I want this" to determine if you really need the piece or are just interested in it because it's on sale.
Any good brands? I need some nice shirts & suits for work
I’m adding a few pieces from places like SHEIN, new pieces from eBay and really trying to watch expenses :).
I love Marina Cooley’s blog on Substack called “Workhorses Only” - she has great style and tips on avoiding overconsumption and building a professional wardrobe that works for you. It has truly changed the way I shop and view sales.
Very good idea!
I find myself somewhat dissatisfied with new clothes after a few wears. I know from experience I have fallen prey to “good deals” that haven’t worked out. I recently returned several items that were “good deals” that I knew I would not be happy with in the long run. I was mad at myself for ordering the stuff in the first place!
I have looked online at many of my usual places to shop and haven’t seen anything interesting. I decided to order a piece from a different retailer that was recommended by a fashion stylist I follow online. I spent more than I usually would for one piece. However, if it works out, it will be the only piece I’ll buy this month. And perhaps I can continue on this path: one nice piece a month.
My goal is to buy less and enjoy more!
I am wondering the same! I want 10,000 worth of handbags!!
