This is so true. My anxiety has been over the top for the past few months because of this election. I've turned off the TV, which helps a little, but still find it hard to avoid all media. What are you doing to tune out from the constant negative chatter?

I’m limiting myself to 30 minutes a day on Twitter, and have asked family to stop constantly sending me political tweets. I know who I’m voting for, I’ve influenced all o can to also vote, so I don’t need the constant firehose of confirming information to keep me stressed.

I took the news app off my phone and cannot tell you how much happier I am for it. Absolutely important to be informed and educated, however we have constant streams of it, it just isn’t necessary. Make some time to get up to date when you feel like you can, and then stop.

Abused and isolated as a kid. I have terrible memory. Like I don’t really remember the past few months except in broad strokes and memories of my childhood are more non existent than existent. I’m working through this with my therapist. Does anyone have any experience with emotional and memory repression? Curious on your advice
