This week my focus is going to be positive. I am going to design a leadership programme that turns hesitant new managers into confident leaders. I need a reminder that HR is not just reactive - it can transform futures. What project in your role has made you proudest? ⭐

Overhauling our benefits program. I was able to convince leadership to increase both starting PTO and accrual rates so tenured employees get more time off faster than before. I'm obviously biased because this was my brainchild, but I swear it's made everyone so much happier and reduced burnout.

That is brilliant. Time off is one of the most underrated benefits, and getting leadership to buy into it is no small feat. I bet morale went up straight away. That sounds like a legacy project you can be really proud of.

I am “successful” as an attorney and am doing my MBA, but have long wanted to start my own business and have no idea what that would be. I noticed two of the people I referenced above have become successful due to their…contd

Hi- I’m an hourly AA, been on the role for 6 months now and it’s my first AA job. I did not get a raise when I took the job because it was technically a demotion ( I was a team leader at a contact center). I assist two VPs and now they want to add a third because they’re looking for the “ 3:1 ratio “. Should I ask for a raise? Is this normal? I know another AA that handles 3+ people but idk if she’s hourly or salary. Any thoughts?
