I am based in the UK, and I have a 2 year old. We're on our big annual holiday and it's a £3,000 trip for 10 days in Greece and Albania. Includes flights, car rental and 4 hotels as we're moving around. Plus all the meals.

I'd say this is a bit higher than our average by £500. We're staying in mid-range hotels, but splashing out at the end of our trip on a nicer, all-inclusive hotel.

15k-20k. Typically includes 2 girls trips for me, 2 for hubby, one big family trip, then we typically do weekend trips. I love to travel.
Finally getting the kids passports soon. They're 3 and 4 and we've done Disney, a bahams cruise and several weekends to myrtle beach. But I be doing those timeshare presentations lol

We always did staycations. The money for a big vacation went for a pool in the yard and that was “vacations” for years.

What I can afford based on my inflows/outflows budget and savings goals.

We have 2 kids. Our budget is $10k total for the year of vacations. We in the past have only spend $3-5k in a year. This year we have gone on a lot of vacations with and without the kids so we will hit our $10k

We’ve never taken our kids out of the U.S yet & they are 5&3

I realized a slow pace at work is really bad for me. A couple years ago I was experiencing burn out from my fast paced job supporting transactions, and believed by moving to a slower job in a lower cost area, I would be sailing off to the sunset. Wrong, I spend weeks following up with other teams, often times they forgot what we discussed, so I spent 50% if the time reminding them of the topics and next steps. I spend most of my time writing memos no one will read.
