My friend and I were hoping to do a quick getaway to warmer weather this weekend (we live in Maine, so we're already freezing)! Our usual getaway is a quick trip to Florida but that's obviously not happening this week. Any suggestions for an awesome warmer place on a budget?

You want a warm place or tropical place? If tropical then Mexico, Caribbean islands might work. If warm places anything in US South. Atlanta, Austin, and Nashville and very fun places.

Bermuda is a great choice. Not very far, and the weather is perfect. While typically not considered a “budget friendly” option, the Bermuda tourism authority site has a 50% off hotel special right now and there are lots of Airbnb options. Bring lots of snacks to save $ on meals

Hi! How was the getaway, OP? I hope you had a blast!

Help!! My bestfriend is doing two months abroad and was trying to fly into turkey when they told her she couldn't because her passport expired within three months.

She went to the US Embassay in Athens knowing she had a month left of traveling, and gave her an emergency passport and punched holes in her exsisting one. Now no country will let her in with her emergency passport.

Can her mom get her a passport in the US and ship it to her? Is there anyway around this?

Thank you!!
