If it’s crushing your energy and you’ve genuinely tried, it’s okay to call it. Sales isn’t for everyone, and forcing it won’t make it better. I felt the same way, and that's why I changed to Customer Success Management because it was more about creating a relationship. Have you looked into that?
Not to invalidate your feelings, but I think we all felt that way at the three month mark. There is definitely a huge learning curve in sales, and it can chew you up and spit you out pretty early on. I would encourage you to stick with it a couple more months before throwing in the towel. You never know, you could turn the corner and find you love it!
It's never too soon to quit a job you hate as long as you can afford to do so. There is no point in making yourself miserable for any longer than you already have. Some people take years before they finally accept that they hate sales, and usually because of terrible burnout. There is nothing good that comes from getting to that point.
3 months isn’t very long. I would question if you were getting results how would you feel about it then? There is a huge learning curve not just learning the ropes of sales but of different companies too. I can’t tell you to stay in something you hate, but I’d also say it’s pretty early too.
