When you say “turnover” do you mean layoffs? They aren’t going to let people go and then turn around and pay you more. Sorry 🤷🏼♂️

Check in with leadership to keep them in updated on your new responsibilities that likely result from this turnover. Even better, check in with questions, even if you know the answers, so you’re on their radar.
Ask questions, innocently, about expectations. For example… “Is this new responsibility temporary until the position is filled? Or will the position remain vacant and I am considered as owning this task now?”
Then when budgets and compensation season arrives, you can say you were hoping for a little better this year because of what you’ve taken on. If you’re not happy with the results, ask what you could have done better or what gators you need to fill. Keep learning the new stuff until you’re ready to bring your value to a company that will pay better.
