I’m sure you will get used to it in no time, just can feel a lot in one day when you’re used to your comfort zone. You will get there soon don’t worry. My advice is take everything in well, don’t pressure yourself too much, get some good rest after work to recharge for the next day as I know settling in can be very long working days as you’re so alert to everything and finding your feet. Well done on your new position😊
It's funny, the thing that always give me the most anxiety is meeting people and trying to remember everyone's names. I'm always impressed by people who can just do that effortlessly, for whatever reason I'll meet someone and just blank out on their name the next time I see them. And I just always feel awkward getting used to a new office. Overall, though, it's exciting to be starting a new job. Congrats on your new position!
Glad to hear your team seems welcoming — that’s half the battle. My advice is to write down everything in the early days: names, processes, random tips. It helps more than you think. As for the early starts… coffee. Lots of it.
