Today's my birthday, and I couldn’t resist bringing in some delicious cakes and sausage rolls to share with my colleagues! I was surprised with beautiful flowers, delightful chocolates, and a lovely card. How do you celebrate your birthday at work?

Very nice, Happy Birthday to you, and I’m so happy you had a nice surprise too! My company gives a paid day for your birthday, which is one of the more fun fringe perks I’ve had.

Absolutely! An extra paid day off is a very good birthday present! 🎁

So sweet of you to bring treats in on your birthday, which btw, HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU 🎉 How kind of your coworkers, too! I personally prefer to lay low on my birthday and my coworkers know that I don't care for the attention, and I appreciate that they respect that. Any fun plans for your birthday weekend?

That's awesome! And sounds like you scored a great workplace! Enjoy your birthday weekend 💃

Happy birthday!!!! Your coworkers clearly love you, and it sounds like they've got good reason to - cakes and sausage rolls sounds like a delicious (albeit slightly strange 🤣) combo. I don't do anything for my birthday, at least not at work. I'm introverted and don't really love my birthday anyway, so the only real celebrating I do is with my friends and family.

Thank you! Not everyone has a sweet tooth so I bring in savory too. They knew because it was on my starter pack so they noticed the date.

That’s so nice, happy birthday🎂. Yesterday was my birthday but my manager didn’t say anything during our 1:1 or on our team group chat, even though she has done so for others. It’s a bit annoying, since you dedicate so much time at work, had a difficult year postpartum(which she didn’t make easier). However, I must remember it’s not a big deal, the people outside of work are the ones that matter most and they made it special.

We're lucky to get an email sent out. And that's it.

I take the day off. It's my day and I enjoy to the fullest. Not to mention, I celebrate all month long. I love that I lived another year.

I do usually but dont really do that much, might as well being at work.

Awww happy birthday..

I hate celebrating mine at work.. it's just a cake I have to buy.. fake smiles, and a card signed by people who don’t know my full name.

Happy birthday to you! Sounds like it’s not a bad thing going into work and seeing your lovely colleagues!

Does anyone have any recommendations of career coaches or where to begin to research legit ones?
