Hello everyone, I just joined this bowl and have a very basic question. I have a humanities background in terms of academics which means I haven't studied maths or cs as a subject since high school. I'm currently working as an Analyst and recently graduated with a degree in BA Economics and History. The number of the alumni and current students that go to top consulting firms FT& summer intern are countless even for a small class size.
Stern is way more than a finance school. Given its location, do you want to spend your 2 years in a rural area or heart of Manhattan? Location is almost everything for business school. (I have a friend in Cornell that frequently travels about 5 hours to NYC for events.)

For me a typical day looks like this
9 am- sign in and check emails
930-11 : look for a new job
11-2 lunch and nap
2-3 : sometimes meetings, mostly begging people for billable work
3-4:30 - proposal work if I have it or more job hunting
5-9pm family time and dinner
10-3am - netflix, videogames, cry myself to sleep

Currently in industry at 135k salary, poor healthcare, amazing wlb, a month of parental leave, work is okay.
