Trying to keep everyone from burning out during the holidays feels like its own full time job. The pace picks up, patience drops, and people start running on fumes before December even hits. I keep trying little things like letting folks swap shifts, bringing in snacks, giving people a minute to breathe, but I am not sure what actually helps long term. What do you all do to keep your team from hitting that holiday wall too early?

You are right about that. Nobody is motivated this time of year, and even I am feeling the burnout. We do lots of fun holiday themed activities though that everyone looks forward to and those do help.

Honestly, I think it’s part of the job in our industry… holiday bonuses help! 😅

The trick is giving people enough breaks throughout the year so that they don't burn out at the end of it. I don't know why companies won't offer a good amount of PTO. It benefits them as much as it does us 😭

I always allow for folks to take it easy in downtime and don’t push them too hard when we finally get a break from the craziness. Of course, a legit break during their shift, music playing and a free meal helps too

Any books/self help materials for someone who is constantly worrying (and waste a lot of unnecessary time)? E.g. No matter if i pass or fail an interview, there is always something to worry about. The worrying/anxiety multiplies when I proceeded further in the interview stages. Now that I signed the offer and is pending background checks, my anxiety is off the roof as it itches closer to my starting date.
