Well after a recruiter call, a person in the department, a portfolio review of 3 pieces of work, a recruiter prep call, a portfolio review with a panel of 5, then 5 one on ones (going over 2 leadership principles each), and a writing assessment - I didn’t get an offer. And no feedback why. Worn out exhausting process and demoralizing.

Anyone else ever in a slow patch where you get assigned ONE thing and still procrastinate it because you’re slowly becoming accustomed to using your down time for life stuff? I feel like I should be crushing things in an instant since my workload is so light, but I’m also enjoying this rare moment of down time before a launch later this summer...

I have gotten a verbal offer from Facebook, but I just had my phone screen interview with the hiring manager at Amazon yesterday. I want to reach out to the recruiter at Amazon and let them know what the timeline looks like. I would much rather have the Amazon job over the Facebook one. Have an offer from AWS for an L7 Principal PMT role: $215k base + $275k sign on bonus for Year 1 and $215k for year 2 + 5100 RSUs (@ $130 / share). This is the initial offer; where is there room for negotiation? Base or Sign on Bonus or RSUs? I realize it's a good offer, but I'm looking for: $225k base + existing sign on + 5500 RSUs. I had a first interview last Tuesday with Amazon, which I think went well, although I still haven't heard back 6 days later and then got an OOO annual leave msg and a no response when I chased up the named colleague today. Is this typical behaviour others have experienced when dealing with the big tech company recruiters? I found Google and Facebook recruiters to be efficient and TikTok so-so, if not a little slow, but 6 days+ seems poor.
