I have interview scheduled and completed from Commonwealth Bank Bangalore location. All technical rounds cleared.
When I called HR i got a surprise answer..
They mentioned the position which I have intervied is different than the salary rem ranges. And my current salary is higher than position what they have got and asked for approval for rem ranges changes..
Is any one faced this? Ideally HR should know expectation and allocation before scheduling intervjew..

Never give a number first. Wait until all of yuur interviews are finished and let them give u a number first. U can negotiate it than.. They expect u to do that. Just say u are "flexible" for now
i literally haven’t spoken to anyone. they just emailed me, almost cold, and asked for it alongside a few other items.
it would feel taboo saying nothing and responding to the other set of questions.
Oh In that case reply with something along the line of you’re looking to join a company that will allow you continuous growth and if the salary is fair market value then you’re good with that.
