I have gotten a verbal offer from Facebook, but I just had my phone screen interview with the hiring manager at Amazon yesterday. I want to reach out to the recruiter at Amazon and let them know what the timeline looks like. I would much rather have the Amazon job over the Facebook one. But I’m afraid if I decline Facebook then Amazon won’t happen. I’m just completely lost.

How is Flipkart for Work life balance? I have ~5 years of exp and hold an offer of 32 + Stocks. Also the expectation is to know Java but during the interview process , there was no discussion of Java or any questions asked. Although the team has asked me to invest some time in learning Java but I’m skeptical about all of this as the position is Data Engineer II so not sure how the expectations will change. Why is there such a huge pay difference between IT and Mechanical/auto industries? Many people in IT are getting 3xx salary hikes, but here I am struggling to get more that 20-30% hikes. Sure the skills are much more demand in IT field, but the discrepancy is too much. Is it due to most of the work are outsourced to consultancy/service based companies by the OEM? Have an offer from AWS for an L7 Principal PMT role: $215k base + $275k sign on bonus for Year 1 and $215k for year 2 + 5100 RSUs (@ $130 / share). This is the initial offer; where is there room for negotiation? Base or Sign on Bonus or RSUs? I realize it's a good offer, but I'm looking for: $225k base + existing sign on + 5500 RSUs. Does that sound like a decent counter?

Finished my loop for a marketing role 2 weeks ago, and got an email the next day that they wanted to give me an offer. Had my initial call with recruiter to put the offer together. It was lower than I expected, and we ended that call positively as I needed some time to consider, and we agreed to follow up in a few days. It’s now been a week and both recruiters have been unresponsive. Did I just lose this offer bc I tried to negotiate a more equitable comp pack, or is it a slow process?

I had a first interview last Tuesday with Amazon, which I think went well, although I still haven't heard back 6 days later and then got an OOO annual leave msg and a no response when I chased up the named colleague today. Is this typical behaviour others have experienced when dealing with the big tech company recruiters? I found Google and Facebook recruiters to be efficient and TikTok so-so, if not a little slow, but 6 days+ seems poor.
