I recommend figuring out why your candidates are misunderstanding your company's offering. Can't fix a problem if you don't know what caused it.
You’re clearly not communicating clearly or accurately enough in the preliminary stages
You should have an up-to-date job description for the position you are hiring for. You should be using this information to create the job post they will be responding to. If you're interested in a candidate and being communications, you can send them a copy of the full job description before the interview or go over it during the interview. This way there should not be any misunderstanding about the position. During onboarding they should be signing a copy of the job description that's kept in their file. If a position should need to change then a new job description needs to be written up and gone over with each employee currently in the position and again, they need to sign the updated copy.
