What are some of the best words of advice you’ve ever gotten in your career? When I was very young, I could be way too judgmental, and a mentor took me aside and said that the benefit of youth is knowing you are the smartest person in the world, and the benefit of experience is that you look back and realize how much you had to learn back when you thought you were so smart. It was really humbling, and really helpful! And true. What have you heard?

Hi fishes, my previous employer has not given me the money for Earned Leaves, they are saying it's not in their policy.. I have a variable bonus of 100000. Out of this they have given only 19,000 in the month of December after 6 months of joining...But they are not giving me any bonus after completing 1 year and 2 months.. They have stopped my appraisal as well...

So in total, I lost my appraisal money, bonus and Earned Leaves money... I feel betrayed and cheated...

What should I do ??

How would you leverage an existing rsu grant of a company that recently IPO-ed when negotiating a new grant in a new place (Series B tech firm).

Assume I have a grant worth of 300 that vests quarterly for the next 18months (in a current place that is already publicly traded)

Would kind of offer grant would you expect from high conviction Series B tech company if you wanted to switch? Would you be good with 1:1 match? would you be ok to get less because potential upside is higher?

I wanted to leverage the hive mind in finding out how best to negotiate a verbal offer for a 100%-remote Product Manager role in NYC, with a IT infrastructure/digital services firm (MNC but non-American):

Base salary: 120k

Sign-on bonus:10k

Bonus: 15%

No stock options

How competitive is this, and what should I negotiate for please? The written offer comes after verbal agreement.
