Mine is a bit similar to that. The advice I was given early on was to be a forever student. There will be times when you know the most, and times when somebody else knows the most. The secret to that is, you never know which one you are, so keep your ears open.

Mine is really practical and less inspirational, but an early manager just told me, if something comes up that's under 5 minutes, do it immediately and don't add it to your to-do list. This mostly applies to emails, though sometimes it applies to other things too. And this tiny bit of advice has saved me so much headache. You don't realize how much brain power you're wasting when you put small tasks off.

Less is more. Find ways to word what it is you're trying to say in as little words as possible. The more words, the more complicated your explanation gets (and the less interested your prospect becomes).
