I'd say communication and time management are definitely skills one needs in sales. And while I'm not sure if it's a skill or a personality trait, I'd say the ability to think on one's feet is very important. We're often required to go off the script, and being able to function while improvising can be key. And, it's also good to possess a sense of humor, or at least a sense of perspective that lets you keep moving along no matter what obstacles may present themselves.

Great points!
I agree with you on those. I also think networking and relationship building are a must. You are the people you know, and usually, my network gives me the best deals.

You’re right. I hate networking. I think that’s why i didn’t put it down!
I'd say those and multitasking. This has been the hardest thing for me to manage. I am constantly juggling 30 different action items while moving a million miles an hour.

This is what my work feels like too!

Agreed!
Customer service is good, but it’s also being empathetic to a point where we can read people. So you can help guess their needs and get them to say yes to your deal.

That’s great. Thanks!
